Magic Loop Demystified--Friday, May 1, 2026; 3:00-5:00 pm
Magic Loop is a method for knitting small circumferences such as socks, mitts, sleeves, or baby hats. Instead of traditional double pointed needles, we will learn to use a single long circular needle to magically knit a small circumference circle. Students will learn how to set up a magic loop cast on, how to work rounds and patterns in magic loop, and when to choose magic loop over DPNs or other methods.
Instructor: Taylor Rutledge
Level/Skills Needed: Advanced Beginner. Must know knit and purl stitches and any basic cast-on.
Materials Needed: Students must bring a DK or worsted weight yarn and a 32” or 40” circular needle suitable for their choice of yarn. Students will receive a 20% student discount at Cozy on any supplies needed for the class.
The class will be held on Friday, May 1, from 3-5 pm at Cozy, 285 E 5th Avenue in Eugene. Parking is behind the shop, on High Street.
