Your favorite sweater has a hole…now what? Learn to assess damage to a knitted item. Students will learn the difference between three different methods of darning, explore the tools & language of mending, practice on a damaged swatch, and discuss how best to mend knitted items.
Instructor: Taylor Rutledge
Skills needed: An understanding of knitted fabric is helpful.
Materials needed: Students may bring any items needing mending to class. Please freeze all damaged items for at least 48 hours before class.
The class will be held on Friday, January 16, from 2-5 pm at Cozy, 285 E 5th Avenue in Eugene. Parking is behind the shop, on High Street.
