Magic Loop Demystified--Friday, February 21, 2025; 3-5 pm
Magic Loop is a method for knitting small circumferences such as socks, mitts, sleeves, or baby hats. Instead of traditional double pointed needles, we will learn to use a single long circular needle to magically knit a small circumference circle. Students will learn how to set up a magic loop cast on, how to work rounds and patterns in magic loop, and when to choose magic loop over DPNs or other methods.
Teacher: Taylor Rutledge
Materials Needed: A ball of DK or Worsted-Weight Yarn and a 32" or 40" circular needle, in a size that matches the yarn (probably US 6-8). Any other supplies needed for class will receive a 20% discount at Cozy. Class fees include 1 paid help session on a Wednesday or Thursday at Cozy, after class is completed.
Skills Needed: Students should know how to knit and purl, and how to cast on stitches.
