Taylor learned to knit from her mom in 1985 and finally learned to crochet in 2012. She was a regular at Cozy from our opening, and finally started working behind the counter in the summer of 2017. Taylor started teaching knitting to friends and family more than 15 years ago, and has been the knitting instructor for Cozy since 2022. She believes that knitting is an art with many techniques and few rules, and that every student brings individuality to knitting. Taylor’s goal is to help each student find their personal style and make knitting their own in a way that is exciting and satisfying.

Jesse (they/he) has been crocheting since 2014 and knitting since 2017. Jesse has worked in yarn stores for almost 10 years, where they have honed their skills in assisting a wide variety of people. His interest in art has been lifelong, and one of the most exciting things to him is bringing the love of craft to others in a sustainable, compassionate, and curious way. Crochet can be a forgiving art form, and Jesse likes to approach teaching from a perspective where he is able to meet students at their individual skill level, while offering gentle, personalized guidance and encouragement along the way.
